More reliable than a bic lighter when wet. Put it in your ten essentials. Do not know what the long term storage is for the tender quick.

    Perfect Fit & Easy Access
This case is perfect for my Acer Aspire One 10″ netbook. It’s easy to get the computer in and out - no stretching required. It’s not too bulky, so easily fits in my backpack. It will make it easy to get through airport security when I have to take the computer out. The accessory pouch is a plus and the outside pocket is great for carrying the power cord.

    Awesome
This thing is a perfect fit for the netbook. The neoprene is a nice slick feeling material, but it offers really good protection. It’s a material that feels like one of those Gel Bike Seats…It’s lightweight, and protects the finish while in a bag or anywhere else. This type of sleeve is great for ANYONE with a netbook. It’s an essential. I like this one because its black. The front pocket fits an AC adapter or spare battery. Also, inside has these stretch flaps that fit around the laptop to fit nicely at the corners. GREAT SLEEVE!!

    Customer Reviews:
Some magic by Jorma and a former Grateful Dead member
As the author of the Jefferson Airplane book “Take Me To A Circus Tent” and a former radio disc-jockey, I am often asked to write and or discuss various recordings from the 60’s and 70’s.

The Making Of Embryonic Journey: Studio Session

Jorma Kaukonen’s “Embryonic Journey” first saw inclusion on the second Jefferson Airplane album “Surrealistic Pillow” in 1967. Forty plus years later it is one of the most noted instrumentals ever written. This was also the initial tune that Jorma wrote during his tenure with the Airplane.

When an album is unique, it is imperative the buyer understands the attention. Since the song is not long and there are eleven tracks in total obviously, you are not getting a CD that is even half-full.

What the limited edition (500 copies were pressed) gives you are two long time friends and superior musicians having fun. Tom Constanten the former Grateful Dead keyboardist recorded “Embryonic Journey” for his fine album “Morning Dew (1993).” It was during those sessions Jorma and Tom played numerous versions of the song as they searched for the best representation for Tom’s release.

If Jorma did not have, tremendous confidence in how the various takes of the tune turned out there would be no way he would risk the legendary piece being tarnished.

Many have had the pleasure of hearing “Embryonic Journey” on the Airplane album and in Hot Tuna and Jorma live settings but here is something completely different for the taste buds.

Once you take possession check it out three different ways. First, listen straight through as you would a normal CD. On the second spin focus only on Jorma and for the finale see what Tom is playing from his side of the fence.

Enjoy the music and be well,

    Craig Fenton

Author of the Jefferson Airplane book “Take Me To A Circus Tent”

    Disappointing
This disc is limited to 5,000 copies and is autographed by both Tom and Jorma (in the picture above you can see Tom’s gold signature in the lower left and Jorma’s silver ‘JK’ in the lower right). This is not so much 10 versions of Embryonic Journey but rather 10 takes of Tom and Jorma trying to learn to play it as a duet. To be fair, it actually sounds very good. The acoustic guitar and acoustic piano sound clean and warm.

But then to cap it off, the 11th take is a midi version! Aaurgh! What were they thinking?! Midi’s ALWAYS sound terrible. So an otherwise okay album closes with a piece of trash.

Then there’s the time issue. The whole disc is just over 32 minutes, and at least 5 minutes of that is Tom and Jorma yakking — and not saying anything remarkable. Like this: Tom says, “Here’s an idea. Let’s try it another way,” and Jorma replies, “Okay.” Big deal, not much insight there.

So when you start with a 32 minute disc, strike the 5 minute midi piece, and strike the 5 minutes of talking, you end up paying full price for 22+ minutes of somewhat repetitive music. I like Jorma alot, but if I lost this disc I would not replace it.
